"Emotions, Rhymes and Beats: Shorty B (Independent)   Shorty B hails from Bedford, Indiana, and introduces her brand of rap-meets-pop via her self-titled debut EP, six songs strong and filled with some pretty raw emotions." - Kevin Gibson, Louisville Music News (Jan 11, 2011)

"Music is like therapy, a release, touching my soul."  Shorty B, southern Indiana writer/performer/rap artist, finds inspiration, ideas and rhythm from the laundry room to the 11 o'clock news.  With influences from Elton John to Eminem to John Mellencamp, Shorty B weaves sweet melodies and percussive vocals into living stories that entertain and stir the emotions.  Shorty B credits a "need to express" for finding a voice in rap.  Since 2005, Shorty's works have placed in industry contests including VH-1 Song of the Year and Billboard's Song and World Song Contests.

Shorty B was selected to showcase at the "Invasion of the GoGirls" during SXSW in Austin, TX and also showcased twice at the Indiegrrl Music Conference in Knoxville, TN.

Shorty has been a finalist in Absolut Talent Night at The Connection (Louisville, KY), been selected as a RAW Natural Born Artist (Indianapolis, IN), (http://www.rawartists.org/shortyb) and won Vicci Laine's Next Top Entertainer Contest (Bloomington, IN).

Shorty B's first major recording project is simply entitled, "Shorty B".
